Discover our Spanish immersion course at Cason de la Pinilla, Segovia
The Casón de la Pinilla is located in the province of Segovia, 100km from Madrid. Segovia is a medieval city that lays high on a hill in between two rivers. It’s topped by a castle and is most known for its 2000-year-old aqueduct from the time of the Roman Empire. It is World Heritage City and the area is known for its medieval red and black villages and natural surroundings of unique beauty.

The Casón de la Pinilla is the Exclusive Training Center of Pueblo Español.The hotel welcomes the visitor of Cerezo de Arriba. During the program, students and Spaniards can take a walk through the small-town center and enter the hermitage of Cerezuelo or the baroque tower of the Romanesque church of San Juan..
Hotel facilities
It is a cozy rural accommodation with 12 rooms, recently renovated and decorated, with personalized service, a perfect space for small groups and a quiet and natural environment. They are all doubles for single-use and have a private suite bathroom with a shower plate. They include towels and blow-drier. The hotel has beautiful common areas, pool, garden, classrooms, with its own restoration service that serves traditional and adapted meals to suit allergies and special diets.
Walks and excursions
In most of your “one to one” conversation sessions you will be able to enjoy walks through the small town of Cerezo de Arriba and the great views of the Ayllón mountains and the “La Pinilla” ski resort. The highest point of the municipality is the Pico del Lobo, at 2,273 meters high.
The students will be able to enjoy the surroundings, sitting down for coffee in Riaza to enjoy its 18th-century Main Square, with arcades of stone and wood columns. During the program, the group will make a half-day excursion to Segovia, to enjoy its fairytale setting and eat its famous lamb.
How to get there
We will be providing bus/coach transport from Madrid to the venue. The journey time is 1 hour. The Spanish volunteers will be travelling with you and will be eager to begin talking your ear, in Spanish of course! The meeting point is located near our main headquarters in Madrid and the bus departs on the first day of the program.
On the last day before sadly leaving the program, the bus will be scheduled to leave around 15:00 hours, so you’ll arrive back to Madrid at about 16:00h. You would have to book your travel back home no earlier than 18:00h (train) or 19:00h (airplane). (Note: This information is subject to change.
